Alesis Juntunen

Alesis is from Lorena, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & Theology from the University of Notre Dame and then earned a Masters of Science in Management through the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. At the law school, Alesis is the President of the Moot Court Board, a member of the Federalist Society and the Christian Legal Society, and is the Lead Ambassador with the Notre Dame Law School Admissions department. Alesis also serves as an Assistant Rector in Flaherty Hall.

During the 2024 summer, Alesis worked at the Goldwater Institute in Phoenix, AZ, where she was the recipient of their “John Norton Distinguished Fellow” award. This past summer, she returned to Phoenix to work with the Institute for Justice. After graduation, Alesis will spend a year working as a Clerk with Judge Gina Parker on the Texas Criminal Court of Appeals in Austin, TX. Afterwards, she hopes to pursue a career in public interest work.

Alesis’ hobbies include baking, watching movies, and cheering on the Fighting Irish football team every fall. A fun fact about Alesis is that she argued in front of Justice Amy Coney Barrett in a moot court tournament.
